I started this blog for a simple reason. I love the hours after dark, the ones a city keeps for people who are in no hurry to get home, and I wanted somewhere to think out loud about what makes them good.

I am not a bartender or a sommelier. I am a devoted regular, someone who has spent years paying close attention to why one drink lands and another falls flat, why one room invites you to stay and another quietly pushes you toward the door. What I have are opinions earned the slow way, one evening at a time.

Everything here is about craft and atmosphere rather than status. No brand worship, no bottle collecting for its own sake, no chasing whatever is fashionable this month. Just honest notes on drinks worth making, rooms worth sitting in, and dinners worth lingering over.
